What is Femsport
FEMSPORT was founded in September 2001 and our mission is to provide a very unique community event which challenges female athletes and non-athletes alike to test their strength, agility, power, endurance, and speed.
WHO CAN COMPETE?
Any female, any age (19+), and any fitness level can compete. There are no pre-qualifications and we focus strictly on physical fitness through a fun, challenging and rewarding experience.
EVENT CHALLENGES:
An appealing FEMSPORT characteristic is participants have the option of competing on a team or as an individual athlete in such challenges as:
• Inverted Rows
• Kettlebell Lift
• Tire Flip
• Box Jumps
• Obstacle Course (Agility Ladder, Balance Beam, Water Jugs, Vault, Agility Poles, Car push & more)

DRUG TESTED
As a “drug tested” event we are able to ensure a fair and level playing field for all competitors and bring an excellent reputation to all who participate.
SHARING HEALTH & FITNESS
Our high volume, public venue locations help to enhance awareness of the natural fitness industry and our local charity, “Patty’s Ladybug Cancer Fund”.
MEDIA EXPOSURE
In 2007 we were excited to participate in a documentary for Global Television’s “Vanity Insanity” which profiled one of our talented athletes preparing for competition. Other media exposure includes CBC TV Sports News highlights, CBC Radio, Shaw TV “The Express”, Inside Fitness Magazine, Status Fitness Magazine, The BEAT 94.5 radio, F.I.L.E.S News and various local community media outlets.
ADMISSION
Since FEMSPORT is an open viewing event (FREE admission) there is a generous flow of participating spectators. Athletes are eager to share their accomplishments to a grand audience of fellow competitors, family, friends and their community.
THE PARTICIPANTS
The women of FEMSPORT all have a unique story of their own but all share the same goal…to compete in FEMSPORT and “become their own champion”.
